Background:

The Mining Infrastructure Investment Support Project (MINIS) of the World Bank provided technical assistance to help the Government of Mongolia build its capacity to apply international standards when analyzing and preparing infrastructure projects for possible investment.

Services Provided:

Miles Scott-Brown provided technical asistance to MINIS in regional environmental assessment, cumulative impact assessment and a environmental and social impact assessments to identify potential environmental and social impacts of the proposed hydroelectric and coal mining projects and recommend measures to mitigate adverse effects throughout its implementation.
